I am mostly here for #econtwitter. I teach accounting and finance, and research methods. I like to keep fit - sometimes I tweet about that, too.

If my country needs me, I have relevant experience as an 18yr old farm labourer: Tractor driving - Ford 6600 and 6610 2 wheel trailer - muck spreading 4 wheel trailer - reversing in the yard
The UK government asked Germans residing in the UK to drive trucks to assist with the trucking shortage because their German car driving licenses include an entitlement to drive a small truck. The answers of those German residents are amazing. independent.co.uk/news/uk/po…

Don't believe the hype! This is why @dmuleicester has an @ft subscription for staff and students... so that journalists like @ChrisGiles_ can expose the truth behind the blah blah blah.
Gordon Brown’s $1tr to save the world in 2009 was bad enough in terms of big number, low impact gestures This $130tr is just ridiculous My mortgage is included, as is my credit card balance. Neither remotely save the planet But it’s worse than that… on.ft.com/31q41Y2

As a first order approximation, this is a good summary of G7 monetary policies.
If Modern Monetary Theory is so good, why don't capitalists just print themselves infinite money rather than hire workers to generate value and plunder the World?

Good qs, @meadwaj Usually when I Tweet MMT, I am told to read the literature. Am genuinely interested in MMT inflation policies. Asset price inflation - tax the rich? Food price inflation - tax the poor? Or fiscal policy to support food production? How are the lines drawn?
No, I just think you’re confusing the left a bit, and we should be less confused. My impression is that MMT has had its moment - once governments around the world are just getting on with monetary financing etc, its sole real political purpose has faded substantially

After reporting these Tweets, they have disappeared from the thread above... but the original false claims are still available:
Replying to @MortWeaz
When analysed against UK population as total AND against age groups tells a story. TOTAL pop deaths higher as % of population vaxed/un-vaxed. In under 50s un-vaxed death is higher. In over 50s vaxed death is greater. Hmmm.. @msnorthcott @ProfessorWerner @GVDBossche @zoeharcombe

That's good, seems these Tweets (and similar unsubstantiated claims about invermectin) have now been taken down.
